Laser Emitter warnings
Laser Touch emitters may have safety labels like the following:
Example label 1:
WARNING 11
Do not look directly at the light outlet from a distance of 50cm.
Class I Laser
Avoid direct eye exposure. Stay over 50cm away.
Example label 2:
WARNING 22
Laser radiation! Do not stare into beam!
Class II Laser Product
Do not look directly at the laser outlet within 50cm!
Key safety rules
- Do not look into the emitter outlet / beam, especially from close distance (keep > 50 cm).
- Class II requires more caution than Class I. Avoid any situation where someone can stare into the beam.
Practical tips
- Design the installation so users cannot get close to the emitter outlet or the beam path.
- For an interactive floor, mount the emitter inside an enclosure/box with a narrow slit. Position the emitter inside the box so the slit edge provides a safe distance to the outlet.
- For an interactive wall, mount the emitter high enough to be out of reach and safe for children.
- Add your own safety labels near the installation to remind users about safe operation.
Important
Consult the Laser Touch kit manufacturer for safe operating conditions. Ask for official mounting and safety guidelines.Manage Consents
