Interactive Projection Setup

Camera Calibration > Projection Area Calibration

The Interactive Projection Settings panel contains all options required to configure the interactive projection effect in Motioncube. A critical step in this process is to precisely indicate to the camera the exact area occupied by the projector image. Correctly defining this projection area ensures that interaction is detected only where the content is displayed.

Important

Before calibrating, make sure your camera’s field of view covers the entire projection area. If any part of the projected image is outside the camera view, interactive projection may not work correctly.

If needed, increase the camera–surface distance or use a wider‑angle lens to capture the full area.

Configuration

Go to Menu > Settings > Advanced. Turn on Service mode and select the Interactive Projection Settings tile.

Enable Custom projection area and use the mouse to drag the yellow points (marked 14) to the corners of the projected image. It can help to mark those corners on the floor with temporary markers or to indicate them with your hand or foot.

Then fine‑tune the motion‑detection sensitivity using the Threshold slider. Turn on Preview motion detection frame to see a live motion‑detection overlay; white spots will appear where motion is detected.

Enter full‑screen mode (press Fullscreen button) to fine‑tune the parameters. Use the keyboard shortcuts shown on screen (also visible in the screenshot below).
