Interactive Projection Setup
Depth Calibration > Introduction
Calibration is the process of adjusting both hardware and software parameters to achieve a correct and stable interactive projection effect.
For depth sensors, this process is particularly specific, which is why we’ve dedicated a separate section of the documentation to it. Here, you’ll learn how to use Motioncube and depth cameras to achieve accurate calibration results for interactive floors, tables, and walls.
Motioncube approaches this task in a unique way. We offer several proprietary tools that not only automate the calibration process, but also stabilize depth sensor parameters in real time during the operation of interactive modules. You can read more about these techniques on our blog:
The calibration process consists of three main steps:
- Hardware setup
- Parameter calibration in Motioncube
- Testing with sample applications
We recommend performing these steps before deploying Motioncube in production environments. This will help you verify whether Motioncube meets your expectations, ensure your hardware is properly selected, and confirm that your space meets the conditions required for interactive operation.
