  3. Set up your camera (5 min)
  4. Download a free interactive app (5 min)
  5. Calibrate the floor area (5 min)

What you need

Step 1: Connect your equipment

  1. Connect the camera to your computer via USB.
  2. Position the projector to display an image on the floor (or skip this step if testing on screen first).
  3. Place the camera so it can see the floor area where the projector displays the image.
No projector yet? No problem! You can test everything on your computer screen by simply waving your hand in front of the camera. The projector can be added later.

Step 2: Install Motioncube Player

  1. Download Motioncube Player - select the Beam version (download page).
  2. Run the installer and complete the installation.
  3. Launch Motioncube from the Windows Start Menu.

  3. Wait a moment - you should see a camera preview appear.
  4. Wave your hand in front of the camera to see if it's working.
If you don't see your camera in the list, make sure it's properly connected to your computer and recognized by Windows.

Step 5: Calibrate the interactive area

If you're using a projector, you need to tell Motioncube where the projected image is:

  1. Go to Menu > Settings > Advanced. Check Service mode. Find and open Interactive Projection Settings tile.
  2. Look for the Projection area section.
  3. You'll see yellow corner markers on the preview. Drag them to match the corners of your projected image on the floor.

Now move on the floor - the water should react to your movement!
