Remote control

Motioncube is designed for remote‑first operation. Built‑in safeguards (access control and safe defaults) ensure that giving users a remote will not lead to unwanted actions or degraded performance. End‑users can operate the interface confidently without the ability to alter protected functions or device configuration.

Recommended remote

Rii i7 — Practical recommendations

For best results, avoid using the "Air Mouse" mode. Control Motioncube with the arrow keys plus OK, Back, and Menu buttons. This provides smooth, predictable operation in daily use.

What users can do with the remote

Use the remote to perform day‑to‑day operations:

  • Launch applications and return to the app list.
  • Adjust system and in‑app volume.
  • Start and exit applications cleanly.
  • Show and close the in‑app pop‑up menu.
  • Turn the device on/off.

Access control and safety

Motioncube protects the interface with two PIN layers:

  • User PIN

managed by the customer’s device administrator; gates user‑level actions.

  • Service PIN

managed by the manufacturer’s service team; protects service functions and configuration.

With these controls, remote usage is safe and cannot change protected functions or configuration. For details, see Access Control.
